It's been over a month since last time. All I can say is, I've had a lot of insanity going on, and a lot on my mind as of late.
The battle with Unicron is over, thank goodness. There were casulties, but luckily none of them were on our team. I think Ryoga's durability has rubbed off on his teammates (to learn one of his signature techniques, he spent several days tied to a tree branch and having large boulders swing into him). Fortunately, I can't say the same for his sense of direction. Unicron was sent back to Hell on Friday, and the Gung-Ho Guns made it back to New Jersey earlier this afternoon. Sorry they had to leave on such short notice, but from the looks of things, our comrades on Cybertron had things under control after Unicron and all his minions were defeated.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, things are about as usual. Halloween has come and gone, as has my 21st birthday. When the boys came back, Knives promptly suggested we go to a bar and have a belated celebration. I turned him down - just because I can go out and get drunk doesn't mean I'm going to.
And of course, I've been writing, watching TV and movies, and reading all the manga I bought for my birthday. And it only took me a week to get to the second half of it. (I finished the first half in one night.)
As someone else once said, "The darkness has not been conquered, and it will continue to fight against the light forever." But we've won this fight. And we'll continue to fight, even as Vash and the rest of the Gung-Ho Guns work towards the day when New Eden will finally be ready for all those who are truly willing to put aside old grudges and misguided beliefs, in favor of a world without danger, a life free of hatred, violence and ignorance. I'm hoping that day comes soon. For everyone.
Until next time, my friends. Until next time.
